The mysteries of concussions are as great as the debts of the brain itself; however, much scientific research and studies have been done to shed some light on these previously uncharted waters.
In 2012, the CDC estimated 329,290 children, age 19 and under, were treated in emergency medical departments for concussions, or mild traumatic brain injuries, also known as, MTBI. In 2015, a Harris Poll finds that nearly 90% of Americans cannot correctly identify, nor define a concussion and are not aware of, or are familiar with, the post-concussion You are not alone.
